I was surprised when my wife said she wanted to try this recipe, because it looked very similar to something we’ve made a lot in the past (link to previous post).
We used chicken broth instead of beer, added leftover cilantro on top, used tomato paste instead of sauce, and used mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar since that’s what we had on hand.

This was quite good, but so was the tortilla soup recipe that we usually use, so I’m not sure which is better. I can’t really even tell a difference since the recipes are so similar…but they’re both good!
